Where Is My Financial Aid Award Notification
The Office of Student Financial Aid sends one paper award notification to incoming freshman, transfer, and graduate students. All subsequent award notifications will be sent to the student's WSU email account. The email will advise the student to log on to Pipeline to view their award package.
All continuing students will receive an email to their WSU email account informing them that they have been provided an award package for that particular academic year. The email will direct students to log on to Pipeline to view their award package.
2009 Spring/Summer Award Processing Schedule:
- Students must have a 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Spring/Summer award notifications will begin mid-March
- All financial aid eligible students enrolling for Spring/Summer 2009 classes who wish to borrow Federal Stafford Loans must complete the Spring/Summer Loan Request Form.
- All financial aid eligible students who would like to be considered for Spring/Summer Federal Work Study must complete the Spring/Summer Work-Study Request Form.
2009-2010 Award Processing Schedule:
- Incoming Freshman award notifications will begin mid-March
- Transfer, Continuing, and Graduate award notifications will being early April.
Students who have not received an award notification should review the following questions before contacting the Office of Student Financial Aid:
- Did you file your FAFSA for the correct aid year?
- Did you list Wayne State University Main Campus school code 002329 on your FAFSA application?
- Did the Office of Student Financial Aid send you a letter or email notification requesting additional documentation?
- Do you have outstanding requirements listed under " Student Requirements" in Pipeline?
- Have you submitted the requested documentation to the Office of Student Financial Aid?
- If your FAFSA was "rejected", did you make the appropriate corrections and re-submit the application for processing?
- Have you been admitted to the university?
- Are you in a matriculating, degree-seeking program?
- Does your email spam filter block emails from wayne.edu?
Sign Up for Text Messaging
You may sign up to receive text messages from the Financial Aid Office on your cell phone. The WSU Broadcast Messaging Service will also deliver emergency notifications and other university messages.
