Types of Aid



Grants are generally awarded based on financial need and require no repayment.


Scholarships are awarded based on many factors, including academic achievement, special talent, ability or financial need. No repayment is required.


Work study is a form of need-based federal financial aid. Work study provides students with part-time employment opportunities in a variety of on and off-campus jobs.


Loans must be repaid at a future date, with interest, usually following graduation or when you cease to be enrolled at least half-time.

Other resources include external scholarship opportunities, military and veteran education benefits, AmeriCorps awards, the No Worker Left Behind program and American Indian tuition waivers.
