            <title>Limited service during processing weeks</title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>During the weeks of May 14 through May 25, financial aid counselors will be focusing on processing your loan requests, satisfactory academic progress appeals, <a href="http://finaid.wayne.edu/bas_verify.php">verification</a> documents and fall awards.</p>
<p>Our excellent <strong>student service center staff </strong>will be available during this time to answer your questions about the status of your financial aid. They can also explain many processes to you, such as <a href="http://finaid.wayne.edu/apply.php">how to apply for aid</a>, sign <a href="http://finaid.wayne.edu/loans.php">loan promissory notes</a>, or complete a <a href="http://finaid.wayne.edu/satisfactory-academic-progress.php">satisfactory academic progress</a> appeal.</p>
<p>They are available in the <a href="http://maps.wayne.edu/view/#welcome-center">Welcome Center</a> lobby to assist you. You may also send an email to<a href="mailto:finaid@wayne.edu"> finaid@wayne.edu</a> or call us at 313-577-3378.</p>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>You should be filing the 2012-13 FAFSA now at <a href="http://www.fafsa.gov">www.fafsa.gov</a>.</p>
<p>2011 income and tax information&nbsp;are required on the FAFSA.</p>
<p>You may be eligible to use the <strong>IRS Data Retrieval Tool </strong>to transfer your tax information to your FAFSA. It's easy, fast and the most accurate way to file.</p>

    <li>On the FAFSA, in the Financial Information section, click &ldquo;<strong>Link to IRS&rsquo;</strong>&rdquo;</li>
    <li>On the IRS website, fill out the form and click on &ldquo;<strong>Transfer my tax information into the FAFSA</strong>&rdquo;</li>

    <li>If your aid has not paid to your student account, check <a href="https://lumpapp1.wayne.edu/cp/home/displaylogin">Pipeline</a> to  see if you have any outstanding requirements. If you don't understand  what is required, contact the Financial Aid Office.</li>
    <li>You must accept loans if you want them, and complete entrance  counseling and promissory note requirements in order for your loans to  be applied.</li>
    <li>If you need to set up a payment plan, contact the Student Accounts Receivable Office.</li>
